How Roselle got here

A bit of history.

The area now occupied by Roselle began drawing settlers in the early 1830s alongside the resident Potawatomi. The village was first incorporated in 1922 and grew up as a bedroom community whose Milwaukee Road train stop attracted residents commuting to Chicago and nearby suburbs. The original 1873 depot anchored the downtown core for almost a century.

Roselle's population climbed steadily through the second half of the 20th century as postwar subdivisions filled in farmland between Lake Street (US 20) and Nerge Road, peaking at 23,315 in the 2000 census. The current Metra station on the Milwaukee District West line was constructed in 1971 to replace the 1873 depot four blocks west, and a faithful depot replica was rebuilt downtown in 2002. The IL 390 Elgin O'Hare Expressway extension to the north has tightened Roselle's connection to the O'Hare corridor over the past decade.

Your local agent

Joe knows Roselle

Most agents will list anything. I focus on the places I actually know, and the things that move value here don't show up in the MLS write-up: which streets and buildings hold demand, what the HOA or assessments really cover, how the comps read once you account for condition and location, and where buyers consistently want to be.

When you're ready to tour or list, you want someone who has read the last 50 closed comps in this specific market, not a national average, and can tell you what they actually mean for your price. That's how I work. Text or call any time, and I'll give you a real take, not a brochure.
