Nobody here shovels a driveway or edges a lawn. The association handles exterior maintenance, landscaping, snow, and even water, which makes the monthly outlay far more predictable than a 1960s Northbrook split-level. For a household that wants Village of Northbrook services, the park district, the library, and Glenbrook North attached to an attached home rather than a detached one, this is one of the shorter lists of options in town.
The daily-life geometry is unusually good. Whole Foods, REI, Lowe's, HomeGoods, and a row of restaurants at Willow Festival are close enough to be a routine errand rather than a trip.
