Yorkshire Square is a townhome community on Aurora's far east side, in the DuPage County portion of the city north of New York Street and east of Eola Road. The internal streets are Kentshire Circle, Bradbury Circle and a stretch of North Commerce Street. Construction ran from roughly 2006 through the early 2010s, which is why the build cadence is slightly uneven. The draw is the combination the location provides: Indian Prairie School District 204, the Eola Road interchange at I-88 a couple of minutes north, and the Route 59 retail and Metra node a short drive east.

What it’s actually like to live here
Yorkshire Square is what a practical buyer picks when the school district matters more than the square footage. The community is a tight cluster of six-unit townhome buildings on Kentshire Circle, Bradbury Circle and North Commerce Street, wrapped by sidewalks and centered on a small park and pavilion. The rhythm is low-maintenance: the association handles the siding, the lawns and the snow, which means a Saturday in February is a Saturday and not a driveway. Interiors punch above the exterior, with nine-foot main-floor ceilings, gas fireplaces and finished lower levels that owners routinely convert into offices, gyms or guest space.
The location is the real product. Indian Prairie School District 204 is the reason many buyers put this area on their list at all, and Yorkshire Square is one of the more attainable ways in. The Eola Road interchange with I-88 sits a couple of minutes north, which puts the East-West Corridor employers and downtown Naperville inside a comfortable drive, and groceries, big-box retail and the Fox Valley Mall redevelopment are about two miles east.
The honest tradeoffs are real. This is not a resort community: there is no pool, no clubhouse, no fitness center and no gate, and the dues buy maintenance rather than recreation. The setting is a working commercial pocket, and a longtime resident review flags the predictable consequence, which is that the interior streets get used as a cut-through by traffic heading to nearby business buildings. Anything you read describing this community as walking distance to the train is simply wrong: the Route 59 station is a two and a half mile drive. Property taxes reflect a top-tier school levy and will feel steep to anyone moving in from a lower-tax county. And because the community is townhome-only in a narrow size band, it is a place people buy for a chapter and then move up from, so expect neighbors to turn over.

Exteriors are vinyl siding with brick accents. Several plans are three-level layouts with a walkout or daylight lower level, and a number of homes have decks or patios backing to mature trees.

- Good, and it is a large part of the appeal. The Eola Road interchange with I-88 is a short drive north, which opens the East-West Corridor in both directions. Note that the Eola ramps are all-electronic tolling, so you will want an I-PASS; cash lanes are at Farnsworth Avenue to the west or Route 59 to the east. For the train, the Route 59 station on the BNSF line is roughly two and a half miles away. It is Metra's busiest station outside downtown Chicago, with thousands of parking spaces and Pace connections. Plan to drive or take the bus to it rather than walk.

Effective rates in this part of Aurora generally land in the neighborhood of 2.3 to 2.6 percent of market value, above the DuPage County median and above the Illinois median.
