@solariesrkdLiving near Yorkville HS
Yorkville is the seat of Kendall County and one of the Chicago area's fastest-growing far-southwest communities, sitting right on the Fox River about 40 miles from downtown. The river runs straight through the heart of town, and the revitalized downtown along Bridge Street has become a real destination with local dining, shops, and river views. Families come here for Raging Waves, the largest waterpark in Illinois, and for the Marge Cline Whitewater Course, plus historic touches like the Kendall County Courthouse and walkable older neighborhoods that give Yorkville a genuine sense of place.
For commuters, Yorkville offers the classic exurban tradeoff: more home for the money in exchange for a drive. There is no Metra station in town yet, so many residents drive to the Aurora station on the BNSF line for the trip into the city, though efforts to extend Metra service into Kendall County continue. Housing leans toward newer subdivisions and single-family homes on generous lots, with pockets of historic character near downtown and the courthouse. Neighboring Montgomery, just to the northeast along the river, shares the same growing, family-friendly feel.

The school
Yorkville High School serves grades 9 through 12 for Yorkville Community Unit School District 115, which formed after Yorkville and neighboring Bristol agreed to a unified school district. High school classes in Yorkville trace back to a school built downtown in the mid-1880s, and the current high school was constructed in 1959. In 2008 the Yorkville High School Academy opened across the street as a freshman campus, with the main high school serving grades 10 through 12. The school today draws students from Yorkville, Bristol, Montgomery, Oswego, and Plano.
Yorkville High School offers Advanced Placement coursework across multiple subjects, and its freshmen attend the separate Yorkville High School Academy across the street before moving to the main campus for grades 10 through 12.
The Yorkville Foxes compete in the Southwest Prairie Conference and field a full slate of IHSA sports. The program's deepest tradition is on the wrestling mat, where Yorkville has claimed multiple IHSA state championships, and the school previously competed in the Northern Illinois Big 12 and several smaller conferences as the district grew.

Thinking of selling?
Not a Zestimate. A real CMA from someone who's sold this neighborhood, knows the floor plan premiums, and can tell you which upgrades the buyer pool here actually pays for.
