@huntleys.deliLiving near Lisle HS
Living in Lisle means calling home the Arboretum Village, and the name is earned. The 1,700-acre Morton Arboretum anchors the community, drawing families for its trails, gardens, and seasonal events right in their own backyard. The village sits in central DuPage County, one of the most sought-after counties in the Chicago suburbs, and carries a settled, tree-lined character with a walkable downtown near the train station and a mix of established single-family neighborhoods, townhomes, and condos.
Commuters love Lisle for good reason. The Lisle Metra station on the BNSF Line connects straight to Chicago Union Station, with stops toward Naperville and Aurora in the other direction, so getting downtown does not require a car. Lisle also sits in the technology and research corridor along the I-88 tollway, home to major employers, which keeps a healthy share of residents close to work.
The community has a strong education backbone. Public students are served by Lisle Community Unit School District 202, and Lisle is home to Benedictine University, whose campus adds a college-town energy to the area, along with nearby Catholic options like Benet Academy. Between the arboretum, the Metra, the I-88 job corridor, and a range of housing from classic ranches to newer townhome developments, Lisle appeals to first-time buyers, downsizers, and families alike.

The school
Lisle Community High School first opened its doors in 1957 at the site of what is now the district's junior high. It stayed there until 1974, when the elementary and high school districts merged to form Lisle Community Unit School District 202, and a new building was erected for the incoming class of 1975. In 2001 the school received a major expansion that added a new auditorium, eight classrooms, new band and choir rooms, and a second gym. Today the school serves grades 9 through 12 as the flagship high school for the village of Lisle.
Lisle High School is a small public high school with a low student-to-teacher ratio, reported at roughly 11 to 1, which gives students close access to their teachers. The school offers a full slate of clubs and academic teams, including a Math Team known for a long run of conference championships and a Scholastic Bowl program with multiple state titles. In 2017 the school posted an average composite ACT score of 25 and graduated 96 percent of its senior class.
Lisle competes as the Lions in the Illinois Central Eight Conference and fields 24 athletic teams across the Illinois High School Association. The Lions have punched above their enrollment across several sports: the boys soccer team won the Class 1A state championship in 2010, and the baseball team captured the Class 2A state title in 2013. The school also carries a competitive cross country and wrestling tradition that regularly sends athletes to the state meet.

Not a Zestimate. A real CMA from someone who's sold this neighborhood, knows the floor plan premiums, and can tell you which upgrades the buyer pool here actually pays for.
